disease genes involved in the pathology of some 50 common diseases. Our
discoveries have provided us with drug targets in many of the biggest
public health challenges, including heart attack, stroke, thrombosis and embolism,
asthma, hypertension, schizophrenia, osteoporosis, obesity, type
2 diabetes,
prostate
cancer and
osteoarthritis. These targets now serve as the basis for our drug
discovery and development programs.
