Installation instructions are given in the file INSTALL. The program
can be compiled with gcc (Gnu Compiler Collection), which is freely
available from http://www.gnu.org. Some precompiled binaries are
available (for DOS, Solaris, Linux and Mac) in the bin directory.

Some examples are available in the directory examples, and
documentation is available in the directory doc. The documentation
contains the user's manual for Allegro, as well as a technical report
on Allegro.
